FDM support material properties

When it comes to 3D printing with Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) technology, support materials play a crucial role in achieving complex geometries and intricate designs. There are two options to choose from: FDM Break Away Support Material and FDM Soluble Support Material.

FDM Break Away Support Material, as the name suggests, is designed to be manually removed by breaking or peeling it away from the printed part. This type of support material is typically used for simpler geometries or when the support structure can be easily accessed. In contrast, soluble support material dissolves when exposed to lye, leaving behind a clean and finished part. This is particularly useful for complex designs with internal cavities or hard-to-reach areas, as the support material can be dissolved without damaging the print.

FDM Support Materials are designed to work seamlessly with a range of thermoplastic materials, including ABS, ASA, PC, Ultem and more. This compatibility allows you to bring your ideas to life with the perfect combination of strength, durability, and aesthetics. With our FDM Support Materials, you can ensure that your complex geometries and overhangs are printed with precision and without compromising the integrity of your final product!
